Move Harmony
-
How far in advance should I book a business move?We would recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially during peak moving seasons, such as summer or year-end. Early booking allows for a detailed pre-move survey, tailored planning, and allocation of resources to meet specific needs. For urgent moves or last-minute moves we are able to offer expedited services, though this may involve additional costs. The earlier moves are planned the better as it minimizes disruptions and we are able to tackle any potential roadblocks or logistical problems with plenty of time, ensuring your business move goes as smoothly as possible.
-
How do you cost my move?Costs are determined based on: Volume and Weight of Items: The size and weight of your inventory. Distance: Local vs. long-distance or international moves. Complexity of Requirements: Handling fragile, high-value, or bulky items. Services Chosen: Whether full-service packing, storage, or IT relocation is required. Time Sensitivity: Moves scheduled with tight deadlines may incur higher fees. If necessary, and with sufficient time, we are able to provide a free on-site survey to help give a more accurate quote.

We use high-quality materials and techniques to ensure safety and efficiency, particularly for delicate or expensive equipment. Additionally, we can also include inventory management, labelling, and workspace replication at the new location, alongside the packing process, ensuring a seamless transition.

How do you handle sensitive or confidential materials? We ensure sensitive and confidential materials are handled securely during the removal process. Documents are stored in locked, tamper-proof containers, loaded into the van by authorized personnel, and tracked via a documented chain of custody. Servers and IT equipment are packed using shock-resistant materials and secured in the van to prevent damage in transit. The van itself is locked at all times, and GPS tracking ensures real-time monitoring of its location. On arrival, materials are unloaded and placed directly into designated secure areas at the new site, maintaining confidentiality and compliance throughout.

What is a pre-move survey, and why is it essential?A pre-move survey involves a detailed assessment of the items being moved, both at the current and new locations. This includes: Identifying fragile, bulky, or high-value items. Evaluating access points, such as stairs, elevators, or narrow hallways. Planning logistical requirements like parking and permits. The survey enables our team to create a customized plan, ensuring efficiency and minimizing downtime. This will give us a chance to know the job we are dealing with ahead of time, meaning we can give you more accurate estimates in both prices and time-frame.

How do I prepare for a business move?To prepare your business for a move: Plan Early: Develop a timeline and assign responsibilities. Inventory and Declutter: List everything to be moved, and dispose of unnecessary items. Notify Stakeholders: Inform employees, clients, and service providers, and update your business address on official platforms. Coordinate IT and Utilities: Arrange for data backup, IT setup, and utility activation at the new location. Pack and Label: Use professional packing services for equipment and sensitive materials, labelling boxes for easy unpacking. Secure Sensitive Materials: Protect documents and IT equipment using tamper-proof containers and shock-resistant packing. Inspect the New Space: Ensure the premises are ready, including utilities and layouts. Minimize Disruptions: Use phased moves or temporary setups to maintain operations. Communicate with Employees: Keep staff informed throughout the process. Settle and Test: Test all systems immediately upon arrival and give employees time to adjust. These are all steps to keep in mind when moving your business, but we can also offer our assistance with a lot of this such as planning, packing and providing materials. It doesn't need to be all on you.
